Baptism and Membership
“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ….Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.” -1 Corinthians 12:12; 27

We would be honored to have you part of our church family! Here’s what you need to do if you’d like to join.
Baptism
"We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life." -Romans 6:4

​Baptism does not give a person eternal life. Baptism is a physical picture of what happens spiritually when a person repents of their sins and believes in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They die to their old self and are raised new in Christ. Therefore, baptism is a crucial first step in the life of a Christian.

If you have never been baptized or have not been baptized since you genuinely came to faith in Jesus, we invite you to take that first step! If you are interested in following the Lord in this step, please contact us. Our pastor would be glad to meet with you and talk about baptism!
Church Membership
If you would like to join our church as a member, here is the process to join.

Step 1: Meet with our Pastor
Contact the church office or email. Schedule a meeting with our pastor. In this meeting, he will get to know you, hear your story of how you came to know Jesus, and lay out what the expectations of church membership are.

Step 2: Come forward after the sermon
Following the sermon in a worship service, there is a response time/invitation. After having met with our pastor (step 1), simply come forward during this time of the service and tell our pastor you are ready to join. He will present you to the congregation and you will be received as a member by a congregational vote.

Step 3: You are a member!
Upon you being received by the congregation, we will have some paperwork to do on our end, but you are a member from there! Now, take up your role as a member, serve and love our faith family, and be a witness to Jesus in your life!
Here are the different ways to join
By transfer of membership: Are you a member of another Baptist church, but you seek to become part of ours? You can join simply by a transfer of membership letter which we will take care of.

By New Testament Baptism: Are you a Christian, but have never been baptized by immersion? Upon your baptism, you will be received as a church member.
​
By statement of faith: Are you a Christian and have been baptized by immersion, but are not currently a member of another Baptist church? Or the church you are a member of has closed their doors? We will receive you as a member based on your statement of faith.

By watchcare: This is a special kind of membership for special circumstances, most common being college students away from home. If you would like to remain a member of your home church, but would like to be part of our faith family, you can join by watchcare. This is not full membership, but it is us committing to “watch over” you while you are away from home.
